Account deletion

You can ask us to delete your Helix account at any time, and we will. Email support@helixathletic.com from the email address on your account, and say that you want your account deleted. We verify the request against that address, delete the account, and confirm by email when it is done.

Deletion is irreversible. There is no grace period and no way to restore the account afterwards. You will be signed out on every device, and cached Helix data is cleared from each device the next time you open the app on it.

Self-serve deletion is rolling out. Once it reaches your version of the app, you will be able to delete your own account without contacting anyone:

1. Sign in to Helix.
2. Open Profile.
3. Open Security.
4. Choose Delete account.
5. Confirm. You will be asked to re-authenticate — with your password, your two-factor code if you have one enrolled, or a one-time code emailed to you if you sign in with Google or Apple — and to type DELETE to confirm.

Until then, the email route above is the way to delete your account, and it deletes exactly the same things.

Check your security settings

If you are signed out, that link takes you to the sign-in page first and returns you to the security settings once you have signed in.

Staff accounts are removed by your organization admin — contact your gym. Self-serve deletion is available to athlete accounts only. A coach, physiotherapist, front-desk, or admin account cannot delete itself, because doing so could leave an organization without an administrator. If you are staff and also train at the gym, an admin removes your staff role first; after that you can delete the account by the route above.

• Sign-in credentials and sessions — your password, any connected Google or Apple sign-in, and every active session.
• Your identity on your profile — names, email address, phone number, date of birth, mailing address, profile photo, and emergency contacts are removed or replaced with placeholders.
• Medical considerations and medications.
• Your gym membership record in Helix — the link between your account and the gym.
• Personal preferences — favorites, notification settings, interface preferences, and any calendar connection.
• Lead and enquiry records — the contact details captured before you joined, including any emails held against your enquiry.

Some records are kept after deletion because a law, a tax rule, or a legal-evidence obligation requires it:

• Training, assessment, and injury records — retained as the gym’s business record, identity-reduced. Your workouts, assessments, injuries, programs, and personal records stay in the gym’s data set with your identity severed from them. We do not call these records de-identified or anonymized: free-text coaching notes and performance patterns can carry residual identifying detail.
• Signed waivers and agreements — retained as legal records, including the signed document. A waiver is evidence of an agreement you made, and it survives the account it was signed under.
• Financial and billing records — retained for tax and accounting obligations. Stripe, our payment processor, also retains its own customer record — including the name and email address on file with Stripe — under the same carve-out.
• Audit and access logs — retained as security and forensic evidence.

Your gym membership and any recurring billing are agreements with your gym, not with Helix. Deleting your Helix account does not cancel a membership and does not stop billing. Contact your gym to end a membership before or after you delete your account.

If you cannot sign in, or you want deletion handled for you, email support@helixathletic.com from the address on your account. We verify identity against the account before acting on a request.
